I'll be sending you your marks of unit 6 test throughout the morning today.  




We're going to start with UNIT 7 today.

We're going to focus on GRAMMAR, first of all, to make sure we cover all the essential grammar points this year. 

1- We are going to start with REPORTED SPEECH: STATEMENTS and TIME EXPRESSIONS

B) Do this activity to have some more practice:

REWRITE THESE SENTENCES INTO REPORTED SPEECH. Pay attention to time and place expressions. 1- ‘I’m very happy to be here today,’ Christine told me. 2- ‘We’ve decided to get married!’ Sarah announced 3- ‘I’m visiting my cousins next week’, Mike told us 4- ‘I met James for the first time last year’, Patricia said. 5- ‘I must find out how to join’, she said 6- ‘It isn’t so cold today as it was yesterday’, the old lady pointed out.

IMPORTANT: Some interesting verbs that you can use to introduce STATEMENTS in REPORTED SPEECH: Apart from “ she said that ... /  he told me that....”, you can use: He/She insisted that.../ added that... / pointed out that... / explained that... / assumed that....
