UNIT 3: A REPORT/DESCRIPTION OF AN EVENT

2) When you write a report of an event, make sure you include these aspects:


INTRODUCTION / OPENING
Present the event and give basic facts:
  -give the name of the event
  -give the time and location of the event
  - reasons for celebrating the event   
BODY
Describe what happened in the event:
You need to give a clear impression of what you experienced.  Include details of your senses (what you see, hear, smell, taste), the atmosphere and how you felt.

  Use sophisticated adjectives to make your description more vivid (photocopy) or expressions like:
excitement was in the air/ The spacious, brightly decorated room had a festive atmosphere

*have the models in front of your while you’re writing / find some more inspiration on the internet
(how many sophisticated adjectives or expressions have your included?)
CLOSING
Concluding sentence. Give your opinion of the event
